Terms of use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the SenseUs website and mobile app (together, the “Service”), operated by SenseUs (“SenseUs”, “we”, “us” or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. You may hold only one account. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for all activity on your account.

2. Adult content

Some questions are intended for adults only. They are labelled NSFW and are excluded from your home feed unless you turn on Adult questions in Settings. You may turn on or answer these questions only if you are 18 or older.

3. Prohibited content and conduct

We do not tolerate objectionable content or abusive users. You must not post, send or share:

  • hate speech, or content that attacks people for who they are;
  • harassment, bullying or threats;
  • sexual content involving anyone under 18;
  • spam, scams or misleading links;
  • another person’s personal information, such as their address, phone number or photos, without their permission;
  • illegal content, or content that encourages violence or self-harm; or
  • content that impersonates another person.

Our community guidelines give further guidance on questions and comments.

4. Reporting, blocking and enforcement

You can report content that breaches these Terms. On a question, tap Share, then Report; for a comment, use its menu; in a chat, tap the message. You can block a user from your chat with them or from a comment’s menu.

We review all reports within 24 hours. Where content breaches these Terms, we remove it and suspend or terminate the account responsible. In serious cases, termination is immediate and permanent. We may also remove content or accounts on our own initiative.

5. Matches and chat

Matching introduces you to other users whose answers are similar to yours. You must treat other users with respect and must not share sensitive personal details, such as your address, phone number or passwords. If you choose to meet another user in person, you do so at your own risk, and we recommend meeting in a public place.

6. Your content

You retain ownership of the questions, comments and messages you post. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display them in the Service and on our website, and to share questions and their results, including on our Telegram channel. Results are shown as totals, not individual answers. Your own answer is shown next to any comment you leave on that question, and to users you match with when comparing answers. You must only post content you have the right to share.

7. Account deletion

You may request deletion of your account at any time in Settings. We will delete your account, together with your answers, questions, comments and matches, within 7 days. You may cancel the request in Settings until then.

8. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use personal data.

9. Availability and liability

We aim to keep the Service available and accurate, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change or discontinue features at any time. Results reflect the answers of SenseUs users only, not the wider population.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for content posted or actions taken by other users, or for any loss arising from your use of the Service.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and change the date at the top. By continuing to use the Service after a change, you accept the updated Terms.
